The Victorian Skills Commission launched its new website on 16 June 2008.
In December 2006 responsibility for vocational education and training transferred to the Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD).
In July 2007, the Victorian Learning and Employment Skills Commission (VLESC) was renamed the Victorian Skills Commission (VSC) by the Education and Training Reform Act 2006.
