Key Outcomes - 7 August 2008

At its 7 August, 2008 meeting the Victorian Skills Commission:
  • welcomed Mr Coyne to his first VSC meeting
  • noted a report on progress with skills reform
  • approved 2009 meeting dates and a process to develop the VSC 2009 work plan
  • noted and approved a range of matters related to the implementation of competency based completions, including progress, 2009 delivery guidelines, information campaign and assessment validation processes
  • noted and approved a range of matters related to School-based apprenticeships, including changes to Training Plans and minimum number of employment hours
  • noted the future management arrangements for LLENs
  • noted the recommendations of the Gippsland Apprenticeship Research Project
  • approved the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA) Risk Framework Quality Review final report
  • acknowledged the contributions of Peter Thomas and Lynne Wannan to the Commission on the occasion of their retirement from the Commission.
